Celebrating 10 years

Steven Johnstone - Corporate Treasury Manager

5th March, 2007

City Pacific continues to look for expansion opportunities with the appointment of experienced professionals. Steve Johnstone brings to City Pacific an extensive knowledge of interest rate products.

After more than ten years in the financial markets Mr. Johnstone has been appointed Corporate Treasury Manager with the purpose of putting the company's excess capital to work.

Mr. Johnstone said his objective is to initially enhance the yield currently earned on the excess funds under management and City Pacific's own capital, and look for further opportunities to expand the business.

The brief is to structure the group's cash flows by developing a portfolio of interest rate products, designed to fit a set criteria of liquid assets and credit quality investment grade securities with relatively low levels of risk and volatility.

Mr. Johnstone was a Vice President of the Royal Bank of Canada, which included stints in London and Toronto, but mainly attached to the Sydney office where he ran the Money Market division, trading short term interest products across a range of currencies.
